Wait, Buratino is just Russian Pinocchio by Tolstoy. Huh, so Hexogen just straight up admits he writes fascist literature. A co-author of the erotic epic "Aelita" and the fascist pamphlet known now as "Buratino the wooden child"! Look at you! That cheap looking silver unitard, that moronic wattle upon your head, those tiny pig eyes. Or should I say "not even born man"? You are talking to the Father of Soviet science fiction. But how did you know I come from the future.?

: Xang-Xang, bioform! My designation is Xander P-603! Or, how people in your time like to say "Howdy comrade communist, my name is Xander". Unfortunately this was all recorded before the thread's requests to fix the images came through, so I will have them more polished by next update. He then decided never to talk to us again, because this game is poo poo. Last time on ATOM RPG, we got asked to perform a mutant genocide by the Secretary General of Krasnoznamenny, and then we confronted him about secretly being a mutant and used magical Speechcraft therapy to fix his life. I Never Knew Time Travel Could Be This Boring I like the idea of an insane Russian man and his two idiot dropkicks going around stabbing everyone in the eyes and that somehow this is unable to affect social change. No comparing it to Fallout, Stalker, Metro, or any other game- I want to hear solely about the work and ideas of the ATOM devs. You posted you enjoyed ATOM, so I want you to name one good thing about ATOM that stands entirely on its own merits. Now that I've answered your question, I have one for you. Steam pushes this game fairly heavily if you own a lot of CRPGs, so it's worth a look if only to see what exactly is being advertised. We could do this all day, but the fact is that small indie studios do produce good games on small budgets - so when we get something like ATOM, which has an intriguing premise that it absolutely fails to deliver on, it's worth examining how the hell they hosed it up. Of course, what we're forgetting is that there are tons of good indie games made by small studios that are actually good. Fallout 4 and Cyberpunk 2077 are right over there, made by AAA studios, and could easily be subjected to a ton of mockery for hours of entertainment. It's offensive, sure, but the more valid issue is "why are you spending this much time and effort on this small crappy game no one has ever heard of?" It's a fair point. I think I've covered all of the offensive bullshit in detail, like Abraham the Jewish bookseller who is a stereotype of.wanting money that doesn't actually require you to be Extremely Online to recognize, or using real Youtube celebrities as pedophiles that the game rejoices you killed. I wrote about this at length elsewhere:Īlright, I've got 2 hours stuck in the Denver airport so I may as well answer this. you should still take issue with the game being lazy and bad.

I mean "Extremely Online memes and references", obviously. But why the need for a brutal takedown of a tiny indie game from a tiny indie studio, which have garnered next to no press from anyone in the mainstream western gaming world?Įven if you don't have a problem with alt-right bullshit. I'm not one of the Extremely Online that many here are so I don't have a clue about all the Extremely Online memes and references that are obvious and problematic to everyone who knows them, so maybe I'm missing something deeply important. I loved Fallout 1 and 2 and loved having a new game with similar gameplay that I felt captured the feel of the games that inspired it with an interesting new setting.

Just to offer a small bit of dissent, what is the point of this thread? I really enjoyed this game.
